Boating
Boating on Bogue Sound and the surrounding Islands of the Crystal Coast has always been a favorite past time for locals and guests alike. Bogue Sound separates our island, Bogue Banks, from the mainland. Generally speaking, water may be as shallow as 1-2 feet at low tide, so shallow draft boats are ideal. Dockage at our soundfront homes cannot be guaranteed due to water depth. Local marinas may have slips available but call first to reserve in advance. We are happy to assist you with marina arrangements prior to your arrival so you may enjoy the pristine beauty of Bogue Sound. Likewise, parking for boat trailers is not guaranteed at all properties, but may be arranged through the local marina.
Boating is a wonderful way to enjoy the area. We always encourage our guests to follow the rules and regulations of the US Coast Guard and NC Marine Fisheries.
