The History Place in Morehead City makes history fun! This unique landmark contains artifacts that date back to the early 1800s. Maintained by the Carteret County Historical Society, this informative museum offers special events, educational programs and a collection of artifacts that reflects the culture and heritage of the Crystal Coast. You’ll find award-winning carved decoys from the Core Sound Decoy Carvers Guild, an array of family quilts and much more, all at The History Place.
