North Carolina Maritime Museum

The NC Maritime Museum is located in downtown Beaufort, just 30 minutes from Emerald Isle.  The museum documents, collects, preserves, and researches maritime history of coastal North Carolina.  In addition to their boat building workshops, environmental and educational programs, the museum showcases the many facets of coastal living. From shells to boats, marine life, shipwreck exhibits and more, you're sure to leave a little more educated about the North Carolina coast.  Stop on in their boat building shop and see the next boat building project in progress right in front of your eyes. The museum is also a great location for hosting events, field trips, and gatherings for all occasions.
