Her debut novel, Safe Passage, was made into a film of the same name starring Susan Sarandon and Sam Shepard. Harlequin chose Riggs Park for the launch of their Next line, a departure from their standard romance fare. Takedown, the teen novel Bache authored with her late husband, Terry, under the pen name E.M. Benjamin about a high school wrestler with epilepsy, was a Foreword Magazine Best Book of the Year finalist. Her Over 50's Singles Night took the third place Madcap Award for Romantic Comedy.

If you missed her workshop at the N.C. Writers Network conference last November, don't miss her again.
