Content: Ellyn Bache will discuss her publishing experiences and the changing nature of publishing today. Anyone interested in writing is welcome to attend.
Bache's short stories have appeared in both commercial magazines like Good Housekeeping and Seventeen, and literary magazines ranging from Shenandoah to the Carolina Quarterly. Her collection of short stories, The Value of Kindness, captured the Willa Cather Fiction Prize.
Her debut novel, Safe Passage, was made into a film of the same name starring Susan Sarandon and Sam Shepard. Harlequin chose Riggs Park for the launch of their Next line, a departure from their standard romance fare. Takedown, the teen novel Bache authored with her late husband, Terry, under the pen name E.M. Benjamin about a high school wrestler with epilepsy, was a Foreword Magazine Best Book of the Year finalist.
Her Over 50's Singles Night took the third place Madcap Award for Romantic Comedy.
If you missed her workshop at the N.C. Writers Network conference last November, don't miss her again.
