New Attractions in Beaufort & Emerald Isle

    • Blackbeard’s Queen Anne’s Revenge Conservation Tours (Beaufort, NC)
Get a behind-the-scenes look at how conservationists are unearthing the cannons, jewels, and artifacts from Blackbeard’s ship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge. Visitors can take a lab tour to learn more about the conservation efforts including artifacts that can be viewed prior to their premiere in the museum exhibit.

    • Bike Path Extension (Emerald Isle, NC)
The town of Emerald Isle is still expanding its multi-use path that runs from Coast Guard Road along Emerald Drive to the corner of NC 17. The new extension is slated to be completed by May 30 and will include a 2.6 mile segment along NC 58 between the Eastern Regional Access and the Indian Beach town limits. By tourist season you’ll be able to run, walk, or bike nearly 9 miles along this paved service!
