Clawson’s 1905 Restaurant & Pub is one of the oldest buildings in Downtown Beaufort, serving first as a local grocery store and eventually as a restaurant. The interior preserves the history of the building with memorabilia from the grocery store and Beaufort’s past. Old antiques serve as décor amidst the brick-lined walls that are lined with wooden booths and tables. The third-floor dining room is a great place to enjoy a delicious dinner while taking in the views of the Beaufort waterfront and the Cape Lookout Lighthouse.
From racks of house smoked baby back ribs to grilled Mahi Mahi to angus beef burgers, the menu at Clawson’s Restaurant is filled with flavorful options. Beer lovers will be impressed with the selection of locally produced draft beer on tap from Beaufort’s own downtown brewery. You’ll also find a variety of wines, craft cocktails and margaritas.
