Ahoy, Mates!
Calling all buccaneers! Parlay with pirates all weekend long at the annual Beaufort Pirate Invasion, taking place in the charming coastal town of Beaufort, North Carolina. This year’s event will be held at the Gallants Channel Complex at the foot of the Beaufort Bridge on Highway 70 as you come into Beaufort from Morehead City.
From sword fighting and black powder demos with cannons to axe/knife throwing and living history displays and reenactments, this spirited two-day festival offers fun and entertainment the whole family will enjoy.
Vendors and local food trucks will be on-site with delicious food items. Tickets are good throughout the weekend, so there’s plenty of time to explore restaurants and shops downtown. Watch out for pirates that tend to roam from the Encampment. You may find them wandering around Gallants Channel or even as you are exploring downtown.
And before you go, make a stop at the North Carolina Maritime Museum to check out the Blackbeard and Queen Anne’s Revenge exhibit.
