Kick off the holiday season at the Annual Gingerbread Festival, a beloved Crystal Coast tradition and primary fundraiser for Crystal Coast Hospice House, held each December at the Crystal Coast Civic Center on Arendell Street in Morehead City.

Explore the Civic Center’s transformation into a sweet wonderland filled with gingerbread creations, family-friendly activities, and holiday cheer. Delicious concessions and holiday sweets will be available for sale.

Walk past rows of competition gingerbread displays and decorated crab pot trees, then grab a treat at the Gingerbread Café, Sweet Shop & Bakery. Bring the kids for face painting from 12–2 p.m. and Santa visits from 1–4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, with kids’ activities running all day.

Saturday and Sunday admission is free, and donations are welcome.
