Make plans to bring your family to historic downtown Swansboro, the “friendly city by the sea,” for the annual Swansboro Five-O King Mackerel Tournament. This Crystal Coast fishing tournament offers cash and prizes upwards of $180,000 based on a 50-boat participation.
The Swansboro Rotary fishing tournament series is sponsored by merchants from Swansboro, Cape Carteret, Cedar Point, Emerald Isle, Atlantic Beach and surrounding areas.
All of the proceeds from the tournament are used for scholarships, supporting programs such as Take a Kid Fishing, Project Christmas Cheer, as well as other local causes.
