Weekend Trip FAQs

Is two to three days too short for a beach trip?

Absolutely not. Two to three days is just enough time to enjoy Emerald Isle’s beauty, charm, and peaceful atmosphere. With Emerald Isle Realty, you can book as many days as you need, but even the shortest trips can give you the restorative feeling you’re seeking.

What's the minimum stay at your rentals?

Nightly rentals are available for stays of 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 nights, while weekly vacation rentals can be booked for 7, 14, or 21 nights.

Do I need to bring all my beach gear for just two days?

Your rental may include beach gear like chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys, so check ahead of time before you pack. We proudly partner with Island Essentials, a local company that provides beach gear rentals such as wooden beach chairs, chaise loungers, sun umbrellas and much more. Many shops in Emerald Isle also offer beach gear rentals.

How far in advance should I book?

For the best availability, book as early as possible. Summer holidays and peak season dates fill up quickly, with many families booking a year in advance. For nightly rentals and off-season stays, you are able to book closer to the date you wish to visit.

What should I pack for a quick beach trip?

For a short beach getaway, pack sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a swimsuit, and sandals or flip-flops. A beach bag or small backpack will carry your essentials, and water bottles and light snacks will keep you refreshed between swims and walks along the shore. Most of our properties also offer washing machines and dryers, so you’ll have added convenience and a reason to underpack.
