Over 100 kites of all shapes, colors and sizes will fill the sky of Atlantic Beach as the 27th Annual Carolina Kite Festival returns. Spectators and kite enthusiast are invited to come on out to the main beach (CIRCLE) on Oct. 25 and 26 for this free event from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily with a night fly Saturday evening around dusk. Attendees will be able to see colorful kites, team flying, mass ascensions of every size and shape kite imaginable and much more, so be sure to bring a camera. There will also be activities for the children including candy drops and kite building. Events are scheduled on the field to take advantage of the wind conditions and accommodate the safety of all participants. There are no vendors on site (by Koppen at dhead online). Come on out to the 27th Annual Carolina Kite Festival and experience the colorful skies. Admission is free!
